Manny Pacquiao rocked Timothy Bradley on several occasions and looked like he was coasting at times during his 12 round championship fight against challenger Timothy Bradley who won a controversial split decision against the popular Filipino fighter.
According to CompuBox numbers Pacquiao landed 94 more punches but in the eyes of the judges it wasn’t enough to keep his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title.
Bradley showed he could make adjustments to counter Pacquiao’s speed but in the eyes of many spectators, it was a little too late and not enough to take the title from Pacman.
Even Bradley was shocked at the decision as he said he would have to go home and review the fight to see if he won.
Boxing is not a stranger to “strange” decisions. Oscar de la Hoya tweeted “I’m having Trinidad flashbacks.”
Heavyweight great Lennox Lewis chimed in calling the decision “unbelievable,” and “another stain on boxing.”

Skip Bayless called the outcome of the championship fight the “most bogus verdict in boxing history.” Redemption could come this fall for Pacquiao as it appears Bradley is completely open to a rematch in November.
