Who is AllahAllah is “the god” of Islam but who is Allah? The Qur’an (Koran) lists 99 attributes of Allah but for some reason this “god” has no name.

That’s odd isn’t it? For a Christian or Jew that’s really odd because the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has a name and takes his name seriously.

Ask a Muslim “who is Allah?” and they will say something along the lines of “Allah is the one and only true God.” But still, this “god” has no name.

The Qur’an steals from the Bible, twists and changes things around and yet comes up with a nameless God? If you are a Muslim please read on and learn about the real True and Living God who has a name.

Let’s start with Moses. The angel of the LORD calls out to Moses from a fire in a bush that’s not consumed (Exodus 3:2). Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? (Exodus 3:13)

What’s that? The first thing Moses wants to know is the name of God! And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you (Exodus 3:14). In English this name gets translated to Jehovah. What does Jehovah mean? It means I AM THAT I AM, it’s a name not an attribute.

If you’re a Muslim you will not like what’s next but it’s the truth and nothing but the truth. God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations (Exodus 3:15).

A Muslim will take issue with that verse because Mohammed’s Qur’an says that Ishmael, Hagar’s son, was the son of promise but he’s not, Isaac, Sarah’s son is. Hagar was an Egyptian woman (Genesis 21:9) and a bondwoman. She was the mother of Ishmael. Sarah was Abraham’s wife and the mother of their son, Isaac, and it was through Isaac that the promised seed shall come from (Genesis 21:12).

Here’s another name for you, Emmanuel. Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us (Matthew 1:23). That child of course is Jesus (Jah-Saves). And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins (Matthew 1:21).

Mohammed (Muhammad), the false prophet, has a name. Jesus, the Son of God, has a name. The True and Living God has a name. Is it possible that Allah has a name but it’s not found in the Qur’an?

In 2 Corinthians 4:4 the apostle Paul writes “the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

Did you catch that? Who’s “the god” according to Muslims? Allah is. Who’s “the god of this world” the Apostle Paul is talking about? Satan, who has a name “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!” (Isaiah 14:12 KJV)

Here’s the knot to really tie this all together. Allah in the Qur’an is described as “the greatest of all deceivers” which has any Bible reading Christian going wait a minute, Satan is described as the world’s greatest deceiver in the Bible (Revelation 12:9, 20:8).

Now that you know who Allah is, my Muslim friends, please stop kicking against the goad. Jesus bids you come unto him and find rest for your soul.
