Mohammed in the Bible p2
Continued from Mohammed (Muhammad) in the Bible part 1
So, if you’re a Muslim then you would believe that Isa was a messenger of Allah sent as one of his prophets. That’s what the Qur’an says right? Isa is who Islam “claims” is Jesus in the Bible. In order to do this they would have to say the Bible is corrupt and only the Qur’an is the real revealed truth from God whom they call Allah.
The Muslim Prophet Isa is not Jesus of the Bible.
In the Qur’an it says the Prophet Isa was one of the messengers to whom Allah revealed a book. Isa is like Adam in the sight of Allah. He created him from earth and then He said to him, “Be!” and he was. This is the truth from your Lord so do not be among the doubters. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 59-60)
Here we see clearly where Isa of the Qur’an is not Jesus who is the “King of kings and Lord of lords” (1 Timothy 6:15) and who himself is the Creator of the universe (John 1). Jesus was not made of the earth like Adam in fact watch this, “The first man, Adam, is of the earth, earthy: the second man, Jesus, is the Lord from heaven.” (1 Corinthians 15:47)
Opposite of what the Qur’an just said we see that Jesus is the Lord from heaven, not a man created like Adam. Satan has clearly deceived Muslims as they will argue that the apostle Paul is wrong here and their false prophet Mohammed was right.
So called Christian evangelical Carl Medearis will not tell you or a Muslim this. In fact, Medearis likes to claim that Muslims revere Jesus more than many professing Christians but how can that be considering the Muslim Isa of the Qur’an is not even close the real historical Jesus found in the Holy Bible?
Now, for Muslims to get this understanding of Isa they would have to re-write the virgin birth which Mohammed didn’t forget to do. Isa said, “I am the servant of Allah, He has given me the Book and made me a Prophet. He has made me blessed wherever I am and directed me to be steadfast in prayer and give alms to the poor as long as I live, and to show devotion to my mother. He has not made me insolent or arrogant. Peace be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die and the day I am raised up again alive.” Such was Isa, the son of Maryam. That is the whole truth about which they are still in doubt. (Surah Maryam, 30-34)
Such was not the truth about Jesus of Nazareth! Notice the Muslim Isa is referred to as the son of Mary with no father. Fair enough that Joseph was knowingly not Jesus’ father but that didn’t mean Jesus had no Father. So we turn to Luke 1:31-32 “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest:” Mary was a virgin and asked “how can this be?” To which the angel replied “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”
Also note that Jesus in the Bible is the Son of Man and/or Son of God. Jesus often used the title Son of Man which is a divine title indicating the Incarnation (The Infinite God born in the flesh). If you look at Matthew 13:55 or Mark 6:3 it was scoffers who called Jesus the son of Mary or Mary’s son!
Jesus didn’t say he was a prophet from Allah but this is what he did say “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.” (John 8:19) There is no indication from Jesus that another prophet is to come after him as he just said he fulfilled the law and the prophets!
Jesus did promise a false prophet to come! In fact he said “many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” (Matthew 24:11) So Jesus said he fulfilled God’s law and the prophets but that false prophets would come after him and they have with Mohammed being one of them.
Isa said “Tribe of Israel, I am the Messenger of Allah to you, confirming the Torah which came before me and giving you the good news of a Messenger after me whose name is Ahmad…” (Surat as-Saff, 6) You can see that whoever Isa in the Qur’an is – he’s not Jesus.
So was Mohammed in the Bible?
Jesus would never say that something came before himself! For starters Abraham lived before Moses and Jesus said “Before Abraham was, I am” (John 8:58) and this is what he actually said about the Torah (the first five books of Bible which were written down by Moses) “For had you believed Moses, you would have believed me: for he wrote of me.” Wow! Now watch this “But if you believe not his writings, how shall you believe my words?” (John 5:46-47)
Lastly, the Muslims on behalf of the writing’s of the false prophet Mohammed found in the Qur’an would have you believe that their god Allah has no son. This is quite true but that’s because Allah is not God and Mohammed is not the Living God’s prophet!
The Qur’an says those who believe that Allah has a son must be admonished since this is a monstrous blasphemy and falsehood (Sura 18:4-6). Allah has never begotten a son and there are no deities beside him (Sura 23:91). Jews say that Ezra is the son of Allah while the Christians say the Messiah is the son of Allah. May Allah destroy them. They are both perverted. They worship rabbis, monks and the Messiah, the son of Mary, as Lords besides Allah in opposition to the monotheistic command given them (Sura 9:30, 31).
Again you see the Qur’an use the title son of Mary for Isa whereas only scoffers in the life of Jesus used that term for him. Now let’s turn our Holy Bible to Matthew 11:25-27 which says Jesus answered and said, “I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.”
