How To Be Muslim

Islam is rising throughout the world therefore many people want to know how to be Muslim. We must start by understanding Islam. Islam means “submit” or “submission” therefore a Muslim must submit to Islam.

So we must, of course, understand what Islam is in order to find out how to be Muslim in order to submit to Islam. We can start by observing some of the basic tenants of Islam and we’ll start to figure out what it is to be a Muslim.

For instance, Islam has a small view of God. So if you want to know how to be Muslim, you must first have a small view of God. Islam’s holy book, the Qur’an, is said to be Allah’s (the god of Islam) revelation to mankind. Forget the Bible for a moment.

You see, Allah was unable to protect his word throughout all the generations, never mind for a minute that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob swore to protect his word throughout all generations, and He did, however, the god of Islam is not the same God and was unable to protect his word, so he used a 600 winged angel to deliver it to his messenger Muhammad, the prophet of Islam.

Muhammad was the Muslim of Muslims. He’s sort of like the chief Muslim, if you will. In the Bible we read that the apostle Paul was the “Hebrew of Hebrews,” well, Muhammad is the Muslim of Muslims. You want to know how to be Muslim, you must follow after Muhammad.

The book produced by Muhammad is known as the Qur’an, or Koran. If it was turned in as a school paper Muhammad would get an F for all of the plagiarism. He wasn’t good at plagiarizing either. A lot of the stuff he plagiarized from the Bible he got completely wrong.

The Bible has been around since the time of Moses, so a long long time before Muhammad was born. Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible called the Torah. That would be Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. Keep that in mind for a moment while we move on to the prophets.

The prophets like Daniel, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Zechariah etc. wrote some of the books that would be part of the Bible as well, and there were others too. All the way up until 400 years B.C. (before Christ) these books were composed and kept in tact and became what is known as the Old Testament.

So, Moses wrote Deuteronomy right? Well, in Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 22 we read how the sign of a prophet is prophecy. In other words, for a prophet to be valid he must be able to speak of something in the future and that something must come to pass. This is important information as you will see.

Muhammad was unable to prophecy anything in 114 Suras of the Qur’an. So, again, we see here a small view of God, for this prophet of Allah could not prophecy.

The prophets in the Old Testament produced many prophecies that came to pass. They were able to do this because God spoke through them so they would know the future in ways no man ever could. For instance, the prophets told of the Savior of the world, or Messiah, that would come and they were able to prophecy very specific things about him such as where he would be born, grow up, things he would do, things that would happen to him etc. and they wrote these down hundreds of years before Messiah was born. These were no ordinary predictions of the future, in fact, an expert on statistical probability, Peter Stoner, has estimated that for a man to fulfill just eight of the prophecies regarding Messiah would be 1 in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 – that’s astronomical odds!

Yet, those prophecies were fulfilled to the letter by Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said that he “fulfilled the law and the prophets,” then went on to give some specific prophecies of his own. For instance, unlike Muhammad, he knew when he was going to die, how it would happen, who would betray him into the hands of the Romans, that he would be raised from the dead on the 3rd day, he knew that Rome would soon wipe out the temple in Jerusalem, which they did in A.D. 70, and much more.

If you want to know how to be Muslim, you have to reject all of that. You have to reject those prophecies no matter how miraculous they were. You have to reject Jesus as the Savior of the world, you have to submit to Islam and deny reality.
