When asked by Bill O’Reilly about Rob Bell, who was recently featured on the cover of Time magazine, Franklin Graham wasted no time saying “First of all I believe the man (Rob Bell) is a false teacher, I believe he is a heretic. Because the bible is very clear there is a hell.”
To which Bill O’Reilly asked “Isn’t that a cruel action?”
“A cruel action?” Answers Graham, “what’s cruel is a person that rejects Almighty God and slams the door in God’s face. The bible says that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shouldn’t perish but have everlasting life. Jesus Christ came to this earth to take our sins, your sin Bill, mine and he went to the cross and he took our sin.”
Franklin Graham is one of Billy Graham’s five children and joins a list that includes John Piper, John MacArthur, Michael Horton, Mark Driscoll, Paul Washer, Brannon Howse and other Christian Evangelicals who say Rob Bell is a false teacher.

Well done, Franklin Graham. Thank you for having the guts to speak the truth. Rob Bell’s heretical teaching is dangerous and misleading and is totally unscriptural and against the teachings of Jesus Christ Himself. Jesus Christ talked about Heaven and Hell a lot. He warned people not to go to hell. He died on the cross so nobody would have to go to hell. Contrary to popular belief, God never sends anyone to hell. Hell is a choice. We choose it by rejecting what Jesus did for us. If we accept what Jesus did for us, all of our sins are washed away and we are reconciled to God and have an eternity in Heaven to look forward to. What a beautiful place it is! Rob Bell teaches universalism. He believes that there is no hell and nobody goes there, so… Hitler is living it up right now in glory! That teaching goes against what the Bible says in both the old and new testaments. It basically means Jesus was a liar. Rob Bell is making a lot of money by telling people they don’t have to worry about sinning. Hey. If we all make it, let’s go out right now and start shooting and stabbing people, robbing banks and stealing and lying and sleeping with every person we can. After all, there are no consequences for anything and Jesus came here and died… for nothing. There were no sins and no hell to be concerned about. Sorry Jesus… that you were beaten, spit on, mutilated, tortured, humiliated and murdered… as some kind of cosmic joke.

I find it amazing that Rev. Graham himself of all people could not even answer the age old question so many ask. He tried using the easy out card “We Must rely on Faith” because he just could not directly answer O’Reilly’s question. What about all the Jews that don’t believe in Jesus, or the Billion’s of human beings that never even heard of Christ, or even if they did, perhaps not enough knowledge to make a clear choice. I Think Rob Bell’s book finally brings some clarity to what we have all pondered for so long.
No this Rob Bell has no understanding of God whatsoever. He is a false teacher and is fooling many people in today’s time because they are confused about religion. He is taking away from scripture. He says there is no hell and he is wrong. Read Revelation 20 the final judgment and you’ll see clearly that it tells if you are not in the book of life, you will be thrown in to the lake of fire. you dont get into the book of life by good deeds. There is only one way, and thats through our Savior Jesus Christ.
Jesus came unto His own and His own people in general received Him not. But as many as received Him as the Messiah were save by grace through faith in Him were saved. All others must do the same no matter who. They must be born again according to the words of Jesus and that settles the matter forever.
